About Sue

Twenty years experience in the financial services industry – including overseas banking – gives Sue Hayter a solid background in the opportunities and pitfalls of property investing.

Her services range from providing for the financial needs of property investors – whether for a first purchase or a large property portfolio – right through to first home buyers with a small deposit.

“One of the best services I can give my clients is information about their home loan product so they can understand how it works and therefore are able to find ways to save money with the way in which they operate their home loan,” she says. “With the help of Smartline’s specialist software, I take great care to offer clients the right loan structure so that it is best suited to their individual needs.”

Sue’s high ethical standards, professionalism and commitment to comprehensive client care means clients are kept informed throughout the whole loan process.

“As a property investor myself, for example, I understand the mechanics of negative gearing and the associated loan structuring. I also look after all financing needs, from home loans, to personal loans, leasing, commercial and business finance and insurance.”

With home buyers and prospective property owners facing a myriad of issues and options, access to a reliable and experienced mortgage adviser can make all of the difference.

Equipped with a Diploma of Financial Services from Melbourne’s RMIT University, Sue is a full member of the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA). She is also a member of the Senior Australians Equity Release Association (SEQUAL), which means she can advise on reverse mortgages, and a member of the Credit Ombudsman Service.

Client Testimonials

“We used Sue as our mortgage broker after having some difficulty obtaining a home loan from our small credit union due to a casual work situation, despite our great credit history. Sue guided us to the right bank and product for us and due to her industry contacts had us approved much sooner than anticipated and still within our finance clause – she was fantastic! Sue worked hard during this time, even working with us after hours, to ensure everything got done as quickly as possible. Sue’s honesty and communication skills were much appreciated, as was the reassurance she gave us after the stress of applying through the credit union.
We were extremely pleased to have been referred to Sue and would highly recommend her to anyone else looking for an efficient, knowledgeable and personable mortgage broker. Thank you!”

“When my offer for vacant land was successfully accepted, I found it daunting choosing the right mortgage as a first time home buyer. Having the added complexities of being self-employed, I approached Sue Hayter from Smartline Personal Mortgage Advisers. Sue guided me through the whole application process and I managed to secure an excellent rate on my home loan. Thanks Sue, I couldn’t have done it without your help! I’m now on the property ladder and look forward to building my dream home in the near future.”
